Ahead of the much-anticipated 7th Edition of the Bilgaro Car Rally, the Tura Motor Sports Club (TMSC) has commenced participant registration and vehicle scrutiny to ensure all competitors meet the required standards for the rally. The marquee motorsport event of the region will take place from November 16 to 18, 2023, featuring both cars and SUVs.
Strict Checks Before the Race
TMSC has laid out a comprehensive checklist that every participant must fulfill to be eligible for the rally. Competitors are required to present their vehicles at the venue, complete the registration formalities, and submit all necessary documents for both the driver and the vehicle.
The scrutiny team is responsible for inspecting each vehicle with meticulous attention. Their evaluation includes checking for road legality, functioning headlights and indicators, properly fitted seatbelts, and mandatory helmets for participants. These safety checks are critical to ensuring that the rally is conducted under secure and standardized conditions.
Medical Safety on Standby
To further enhance safety, a dedicated medical team will be deployed at key locations throughout the rally days. This ensures immediate assistance in case of any emergencies during the high-speed event.
Rally Schedule
- Day 1 – November 16: Competitors will conduct a recce of the race track to familiarize themselves with the terrain and route.
- Day 2 – November 17: The rally officially begins with a flagging-off ceremony at Aldara Café at 8 AM. Drivers will then head towards Anogre for the thrilling Sprint category.
- Day 3 – November 18: The final stage of the rally starts once again from Aldara Café, leading participants towards Aguragre for the adrenaline-filled Hill Climb category.
Strong Regional Participation
As registrations continue, excitement is building among motorsport enthusiasts. Drivers from Nagaland, Assam, Khasi Hills, Jaintia Hills, and nearly 10 drivers from across the Garo Hills have confirmed their participation, making this edition one of the most diverse and competitive yet.
The Bilgaro Car Rally has steadily grown into a flagship motorsport event in the Northeast, bringing together speed, skill, and camaraderie.
